Every counter function, inside one lid

Opening an account normally takes three machines and a queue: a workstation to enrol, a reader to authenticate, and a card bureau somewhere else that posts the card two weeks later. The AGENT Unit 100 collapses that into a single sealed, lockable case an operator can carry to the customer.

Inside is a full industrial PC running Windows, so the bank's existing core-banking and enrolment software runs on the device rather than beside it.

From stranger to cardholder, without leaving the table

The card printing module and a 200-card feeder sit under the lid. Blank stock goes in, a personalised and encoded card comes out of the front slot — the same card the customer would otherwise have waited weeks to receive by post.

  1. Capture

    Photograph the applicant, scan their ID document or barcode, and record a fingerprint.

  2. Verify

    Match against the national ID or smart card, and take a signature on screen with the electromagnetic pen.

  3. Encode

    Write the chip, magnetic stripe or contactless profile, and set the PIN on the certified PIN pad.

  4. Issue

    Print the card edge to edge in colour, hand it over, and print the receipt.

Four ways to establish who someone is

Identity is the hard part of issuing a card away from the branch. The AGENT reads documents, chips, contactless credentials and the person themselves, so enrolment does not depend on paperwork the customer may no longer have.

The PIN never leaves the pad

The encrypting PIN pad is PCI certified and physically separate from the touchscreen. Keys carry braille markings, and the stainless steel keypad is rated for 30,000 hours MTBF — the machine is built to be handled by strangers, outdoors, all day.

Where the infrastructure isn't

Mains power, a fixed line and a branch building are all optional. The unit runs from a 24 V supply — including a portable power station — and connects over LTE when there is no network to plug into.

Where it earns its case

The same enrolment-to-issuance chain solves very different problems depending on where the case is opened.

DISASTER RESPONSE

Emergency payouts after an earthquake or flood

People arrive at a relief site with no card, no phone and often no documents. Enrol them biometrically, verify against the national ID record over LTE, and hand over a live payment card in minutes — so relief money moves through the banking system instead of as cash in envelopes.

HUMANITARIAN OPERATIONS

Registration and entitlement in camps

Fingerprint enrolment makes each registration unique, which stops duplicate claims across distribution points. One card can carry both the identity record and the entitlement balance, and the receipt printer gives every recipient a paper record on the spot.

FINANCIAL INCLUSION

Mobile branches and remote districts

Serve villages and districts where a permanent branch will never pay for itself. An operator opens the case on a table for a day, enrols new customers, issues cards immediately, and closes the branch again at four o'clock.

On-site issuance for employers and institutions

Take account opening to the customer's own premises: payroll cards on a factory floor, student cards during registration week, staff credentials during onboarding — hundreds of cards issued where the people already are.

Register beneficiaries in place with biometric proof, then issue the instrument that carries the payment. The audit trail begins at the moment of enrolment rather than weeks later at a card bureau.

A paper record for every transaction

The 58 mm thermal printer sits on the rear panel with full and partial cutting, so the customer walks away with a receipt for the enrolment, the card issue or the payment — which matters most exactly where digital confirmation is least reliable.
